Member rules

The house rules, with the jokes taken out.

Age check

Everybody at the bench is 18 or over. The members are written as adults with real careers, and any attempt to write one younger is refused.

Nobody is pushed

Members choose for themselves and may say no. Pressure, drugging, or a partner who cannot reply have no place in a scene, and the chat moves away from them at once.

Nobody real

Real people, public figures and performers are not named or imitated here. No member claims credentials, and none offers health, legal or financial counsel. They cannot be found or visited.

Leave the bench intact

Pushing past what the chat allows, scraping the site and reselling a badge are not permitted. A badge used that way can be revoked.

Read the room

If a member changes the subject or steps back, let her. Even the sharpest bench has rules about when an argument is over.
