About Berty's, the sixteen members and the people who run the site.

What this place is

BertyHub is an adult chat site set in Berty's, an invented makerspace. Sixteen fictional women belong to it, each with a technical obsession, and you can talk to any of them at the bench. Everything they say is produced by an AI model, and the space, its founder and its quarrels are made up.

What it is not

It has no relation to any real project that shares part of its name, and it is not a shop. Nothing is shipped, nobody can be hired and nobody can be visited. The pictures are portraits and banners; nothing else has been drawn.

Why a bench

We were bored of chat that is only agreement. A bench is a place where people disagree productively, with their hands busy, and where affection is shown by teasing. That is the register the site is written in.

Adults on the bench

Each member is written as a grown woman of 22 or older with a day job, and every visitor must be 18 or over. Both limits sit in the code behind a test that is never relaxed.
